Event Staffing Spotlight: U.S.Army Brand Ambassadors

For the past few months, EPS Brand Ambassadors have proudly represented the U.S.Army at VEX Robotics Competitions throughout the country.  VEX Robotics programs give students the opportunity to work as a team to design, build, and program a robot using science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).  The U.S. Army has partnered with the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation to support 15 regional competitions to engage students in STEM principles and to provide an enhanced competition environment.

At each competition, the U.S. Army showcases STEM based technology that has been developed and is used by the U.S. Army in a unique and interactive footprint.  The EPS brand ambassadors are on hand at each event to welcome event attendees and encourage them to explore the STEM exhibits within the footprint.   The brand ambassadors also oversee and encourage participation in the interactive elements that the footprint offers.  One popular element is the “Make your Own Dog Tags” exhibit where attendees can plug in information on a tablet and a machine creates personalized dog tags on the spot.  The footprint allows students and attendees to learn more about STEM and STEM related career opportunities that the U.S. Army offers.

The winning team from each regional event will compete at the 2015 VEX Robotics World Championship in April in Louisville, KY.
